Subject: Quantum Polymers Operational Update re: COVID-19
On Sunday, Delaware Governor John Carney ordered non-essential businesses to close effective 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Quantum Polymers (NAICS 3261, Industry Group Plastics Product Manufacturing) is exempt from this closure and as required of essential businesses, has adopted COVID-19 infection control measures including:
–Following CDC guidelines and recommendations for social distancing (remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining a distance of six (6) feet from others during the workday
–Having hand washing stations and hand sanitizer readily available for all employees throughout the workday
–Following CDC guidelines and recommendations for environmental cleaning of the site
–Prohibiting all visitors inside the worksite unless they are providing essential services (pickup of shipments and receiving of resins)
–Stressing to all employees that they are not to come to work when they are sick
–Teleworking where/when possible
Through the present date, Quantum Polymers is operating at near-full capacity with no known cases of infection among our production and administrative staff. However, we cannot rule out the possibility of future impact in the near or long term as a result of new mandates by state or even federal government orders. We are evaluating the situation closely and will notify customers on a daily basis with updates for existing orders and forecasts for future production.
We recognize that this is a rapidly evolving situation in Delaware, in the United States, and across the world. Here at Quantum Polymers we will continue to take the necessary actions to ensure that our team is safe while providing the services that you and your business count on from us.
